Dear Parent and Student

Reading is one of the most important skills you will learn in school. It is the way you know what is happening in lessons; the way in which you will pass exams; the way in which you will participate in adult life. As such, reading is a basic requirement of English homework. It is calculated that if you read from 20 to 30 minutes EVERY night, you will make better progress in ALL areas of the curriculum. Are you doing this? The English teachers have uploaded a recommended reading list onto FRONTER. However, simply reading a newspaper or magazine is a good starting point. This is an area over which YOU can take control.
